Odoo CRM and Sales, configured to your actual sales cycle
A CRM does not fail because the tool is bad. It fails because the pipeline steps have been copied from a manual, the quote is retrieved elsewhere, and no one updates their deals after six weeks.

Why a CRM does not take hold in a sales team
We regularly take over CRM projects that have not succeeded. The causes are almost always the same, and none are technical.
The CRM pipeline, configured to your sales cycle
Each opportunity is a card: its amount, its stage, the next action, and the person responsible for it. The exchanged emails automatically appear on the card, calls and meetings are scheduled as activities, and Odoo reminds the right action to the right person at the right time.
What makes the difference is not the kanban view, it's the breakdown of stages. We start from your actual cycle, not a model: what 'qualified' means for you, when a deal becomes a proposal, what justifies closing it. A stage that the salesperson does not know how to fill in is a stage that will never be completed.
From signed quote to order, without re-entry
Since the opportunity, the quote is created and sent in the same tool. The client consults it online, optionally adds options that you have planned, signs it electronically, and can pay a deposit in the process. The order is then generated without any information being retyped.
This is where the real value of an integrated CRM comes into play. A CRM separate from billing empties itself, because the only thing that drives a salesperson to keep their pipeline up to date is finding their quote there.
Then, depending on your business, the order feeds the accounting, the logistics or project management, in the same database.
The scoring of opportunities by AI, what it changes and what it requires
Odoo assigns a success probability to each opportunity, calculated based on your own conversion history, and allows directing leads to the right person according to rules.
The point that demonstrations gloss over: this scoring is only as good as your data. A database full of duplicates, closed deals six months late, and half-filled stages will produce worthless scores, and your salespeople will stop looking at them after fifteen days. Scoring is implemented after cleaning, never before.
We detail what AI actually changes in an ERP on our dedicated page for artificial intelligence in Odoo.
You already have Odoo CRM and no one is using it
It's a common case, and it's not a foregone conclusion. The module was installed with the rest of the project, the salespeople had an hour of training, and six months later the pipeline reflects nothing.
Our typical intervention consists of four steps: we audit the actual usage, rather than the theoretical setup. We clean up duplicates and ghost deals. We redo the steps with two salespeople who really sell, not just with management. Then we only reopen the tool with a credible pipeline.
Resuming almost always costs less than restarting, and surely less than changing software.
When a sales team does not use its CRM, the reflex is to make the fields mandatory. This is the best way to get fabricated data. We do the opposite: we remove everything that is not useful to the salesperson themselves, and we only add a field if someone can explain the decision it allows to make.
Who is the Odoo CRM for?
Odoo CRM is not set up the same way depending on what you sell. Three things change everything: the length of your cycle, whether your quote is standard or priced on a case-by-case basis, and what happens once the order is signed. Here are the four profiles we most often support, and the key point for each.

Frequently Asked Questions
Here are some frequently asked questions about Odoo CRM:
The first application is free at Odoo, allowing you to start with just the CRM. As soon as you add Sales, accounting, or another module, you switch to a paid offer per user. This is a point to clarify from the start, because a standalone CRM only delivers part of the value.
Yes, and this is the step not to rush. We deduplicate before the import rather than after, because a dirty database at the start costs the team's trust in a week.
Yes, synchronization with major email and calendar providers is part of the standard. The exchanged emails are linked to the relevant opportunity.
No. The same database manages multiple teams, with distinct pipelines, goals, and rights. It is the configuration that separates, not the license.
